Notice Title
Project TRITON
Notice Description
TRITON aims to deliver a modular, scalable and configurable bridging and ferrying system to enable Military Load Classification 100 (Tracked) and MLC 130 (Wheeled) crossing of wet gaps over 40m.TRITON is an Equipment delivery project under the Next Generation Wide Wet Gap Crossing (NG WWGC) Programme led by Army Headquarters (AHQ), under Manoeuvre Support. It fulfils a NATO commitment to provide a WWGC capability and will be operated by the Royal Engineers as part of a Multi-National Bridging Battalion based in Minden, DEU. Project TRITON will build upon the high level of interoperability enjoyed now, at the DEU / UK Amphibious Engineer Battalion (Amph Engr Bn) in Minden with M3 Amphibious Rigs. In support of the drive for commonality and interoperability for the WWGCC beyond 2027, Project TRITON has coordinated its efforts to date on a joint basis with Germany (DEU). DEU and UK have broadly aligned timelines to replace their current WWGCC. The history of collaboration and interoperability between the nations has also led to significant alignment of their requirements. The Authority now has approval to work bi-laterally with DEU to procure an amphibious WWGCC. It is the Authority's expectation to place a Contract through a Delivery Agent on behalf of DEU and UK Authorities. Please note information regarding an Industry Event in the 'Additional Information' section of this PIN.

"description": "The Authority is inviting industry to register its interest to participate in an Industry Event where they will brief industry on the TRITON project and system requirements. This shall lead to a Request for Information (RFI) to better understand potential solutions, in particular, to refine the Authorities cost and time assumptions. This will be a non-competitive, information gathering exercise, where interested parties are invited to respond to based on providing the whole capability. The Industry Event is expected to be conducted via MS Teams on 6th October 2021. Thereafter, a formal Request for Information in the form of a questionnaire will be released. To register your initial interest in the Industry Event you are requested to register through the following routes: 1. Contact via e-mail Daisy.wallis106@mod.gov.uk and Cathy.bryant104@mod.gov.uk Please register your interest by 17:00 on 1st September 2021 to ensure you will be issued with an invite to the Industry Event. If Industry have any questions concerning this capability, they can be put forward during the Industry Event or through the RFI. Any questions asked at the Industry Event will be registered and logged during the event. The Authorities answers to questions, asked at the event or through the RFI, will be issued to all parties who have attended the Industry Event and responded to the RFI. All work completed in response to the Event is at industry's own risk. The Event will not represent a commitment by the Authority to launch any formal procurement procedure, nor does it indicate that the Authority has decided on its procurement options for this requirement. Furthermore, any participation in the Industry Event does not guarantee that you will be invited to participate in any future tender exercise. Should the Authority run a competition for this requirement then participants will be selected via the Delivery Agent's Procedures (e.g. Pre-Qualification Questionnaires).",
