Summary of the contracting process

The Edinburgh Innovation Park Hub Development Company, in collaboration with Queen Margaret University and East Lothian Council, has successfully completed a procurement process for a Commercial Advisor. This initiative is part of the Innovation Hub project, funded through a £30 million City Deal aimed at establishing a premier facility at the Edinburgh Innovation Park. The procurement was conducted through a limited method without prior publication, targeting business and management consultancy services with a focus on soft and hard infrastructure delivery and marketing strategy development. The contract was awarded on 7th December 2021 and is currently active.

This project presents substantial opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating within the innovation sector, particularly those specialised in food, drink, and technology. As the Innovation Hub aims to foster and support businesses in fast-evolving markets, firms that can offer insights into commercial operations, strategic marketing, or infrastructure development may find this tender highly advantageous. Given the need for expert guidance in the hub's development and operational launch, businesses with skills in consultancy and project management could significantly benefit from engaging with this opportunity.
