Lot Information

Lot 1

Ceredigion County Council wishes to give prior notification of their intention to commission an Extra Care Housing scheme in Tregaron. This project has been named Cylch Caron and may include the following facilities in addition to the Extra Care Housing component; Registered Care; Registered Nursing; Intermediate Care; Respite accommodation; Rehabilitation facilities; GP Surgery; Health facilities; Community facilities; other commercial uses. The Cylch Caron project is currently intended to act as re-provision for Ceredigion County Council's existing residential, respite and day care Social Care facilities at the Bryntirion Resource Centre and for Hywel Dda University Health Board's Health facilities at Tregaron Hospital. A site has been identified in Tregaron for the project and the preferred scope of the re-provision will be determined by the County Council and the Health Board as part of preparing the Outline Business Case for the project. The vision "Building on the existing resilience and commitment to caring for people in the Cylch Caron community, we will create an innovative, rural model of community based care to meet care; health and housing need in the area, that is fit for today and sustainable for tomorrow" Sufficient land may be available to extend the project beyond the initial scope required to meet the re-provision objectives. This may enable additional housing, care or health accommodation to be provided if local demand will support these. Providers may be required to design, develop, fund and operate the project. Social Care and Health services may be delivered to the project as a continuation of the existing direct delivery arrangements or these may be reconfigured once the final scope of the project is determined. [2] Expressions of Interest Ceredigion County Council is inviting suitably experienced and qualified providers who would like to be considered for the delivery of the Cylch Caron project to an online supplier Engagement Event on Wednesday 17th November 2021 at 15:00 hours. Interested providers should register their interest via email to: nerys.lewis2@ceredigion.gov.uk by 1700 hours 8th November. Expression of Interest emails should clearly state the organisation's contact details and the lead contact within the organisation. Providers should note that this is a Market Assessment Exercise intended to inform the Outline Business Case for the project and that no procurement may follow this process. If any procurement does follow this process the opportunity will be advertised through sell2wales.gov.wales. In addition to registering their interest as detailed above, interested providers are advised to register as a supplier on sell2wales.gov.wales. The supplier registration on sell2wales.gov.wales should include at least one of the category codes detailed in this notice. The final contract value, procurement approach and contract structure for this project may vary due to the outcomes of this Market Assessment Exercise. Any expenditure, work or effort undertaken by organisations prior to any subsequent procurement for this project is a matter solely for their own commercial judgment. The Council reserves the right to withdraw from the process at any time or to not tender this project or to tender on a different basis.
