Notice Description

United Utilities will be delivering a tender on behalf of the Dee Steering Committee (DSC). The Committee Group members are 4 water companies: United Utilities, Dwr Cymru Welsh Water and Dee Valley Water PLC+. By undertaking pre market research, the Company can then evaluate the current market capability. The River Dee is a critical supply of drinking water for many people in the North West of England and North Wales. Pollution is an ever-present risk. The intensive monitoring regime mitigates the risk as long as it is kept up-to-date. The water companies working together closely with NRW have been successful in managing the risk for more than 25 years. The scope of the services involve taking potable water from the River Dee and monitoring of water at specific points along the River Dee.

This Tender is being let by the Dee Steering Committee (DSC) on behalf of the Water Companies taking potable water from the River Dee and is for the monitoring of water at specific points in the River Dee. United Utilities are running this tender on behalf of the DSC, and the DSC is made up of United Utilities, Dwr Cymru Welsh Water and Dee Valley Water PLC. The river Dee is a critical supply of drinking water for many people in the North West of England and North Wales. Pollution is an ever-present risk. The intensive monitoring regime mitigates the risk as long as it is kept up-to-date. The water companies working together closely with NRW have been successful in managing the risk for more than 25 years. The scope of this procurement is to provide sampling services, associated reporting, operating three river bankside stations and pollution incident reporting.
