Notice Description

The main purpose of the tool is to enable the University to access meaningful, data-driven evidence to support our understanding of the research landscape and our research and innovation performance relative to other HEIs. This will facilitate the generation of reliable validated intelligence reports across a variety of perspectives and content to inform evidence-based target-setting and strategic decisions in relation to funding and investment.

The University works in a complex, data-oriented research environment where we need to be able to measure the quality and impact of our research. A Research Intelligence tool will enable us to analyse our research performance against our peer institutions and will improve our ability to establish, execute and evaluate our institutional research strategy. The tool will enable us to assess Ulster's research performance from a variety of perspectives in order to: * validate research results; * facilitate robust reporting to senior management to enable evidence-based decision-making; * identify research strengths and shortcomings and determine which areas to invest in; * track research performance; * benchmark research performance against peer institutions; * evaluate researcher and team performance for promotion, recruitment and retention decisions. The main purpose of the tool is to enable the University to access meaningful, data-driven evidence to support our understanding of the research landscape and our research and innovation performance relative to other HEIs. This will facilitate the generation of reliable validated intelligence reports across a variety of perspectives and content to inform evidence-based target-setting and strategic decisions in relation to funding and investment. Additional information: Anticipated spend on this contract is approx PS50k per annum in all categories; however, the University cannot give any guarantee as to the future value or volume of business awarded through this contract. The University reserves the right to modify this contract, under Regulation 72(1)(a) of the Public Contract Regulations 2015, in events of higher or lower spend necessitated by unexpected change

Options: option to extend the contract for a period or periods of up to 36 months.
