Summary of the contracting process

The Leicester City Council is currently initiating a soft market testing process titled "ASC0272 – Soft Market Testing – Extra Care (Enhanced Independent Living) Accommodation Scheme(s) on a Leicester City Council Owned Site(s)". The project is classified under construction works and aims to identify partners for designing, building, owning, and managing Extra Care schemes within Leicester. The soft market test is part of the planning stage, with a completed questionnaire deadline set for 14:00 hours on 7 December 2021. An online market engagement event is also scheduled for 13 January 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those in the construction, health, and social care sectors, to engage in a collaborative scheme aimed at supporting vulnerable populations. Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) and consortia arrangements will find this opportunity especially beneficial, as it encourages potential partners to express their interests and insights regarding the project's model and specifications. Engaging in this soft market testing can position businesses favourably for future competitive bidding processes anticipated later in 2022.
