Notice Description

The requirement is for a production insurance claims management service capable of responding effectively to the wide variety of claims circumstances falling under BBC Production Insurance agreements for in-house and BBC commissioned independent productions. The service will involve dealing with cast, negative film and digital (including faulty stock, camera and processing), props, sets and wardrobe, miscellaneous equipment, extra expense, third party property damage, office contents, money and securities related claims. The main elements of the service will include: * The provision of claims managements and associated data management services for Production Insurance Claims (excluding Casualty classes) up to a value of PS250,000. * The recovery of insured and uninsured losses from other involved parties where appropriate. * Liaison with BBC contractors, BBC departments (including subsidiaries), BBC Commissioned Independent Productions and in particular the BBC's Insurance Department to ensure that information is made available to relevant parties and acted upon in the best interest of the BBC and claims records are accurate and up to date. * An agreed fee structure for Production Insurance claims exceeding GBP 250,000 where the successful Applicant may be instructed on an individual basis.
