Summary of the contracting process

The Ministry of Defence is planning a procurement process titled "702203455 - Method of Entry Procurement Project", focusing on military defence services. The project aims to acquire a diverse range of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) Method of Entry (MoE) support equipment, including approximately 125 items such as hand tools and ancillaries. The procurement is set to be awarded to a single prime supplier through a dynamic pre-qualification questionnaire (DPQQ) in the coming weeks, with a contract duration of around five years. Interested suppliers should register on the new Defence Sourcing Portal (DSP) for updates and ensure compliance with the UK's social value requirements that will be considered in the contract award. The potential future notice date for this procurement process is 10th December 2021.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses that specialise in providing military defence equipment and related support services. Companies with capabilities in delivering COTS products, hand tools, and ancillary materials will be particularly well-suited to compete for this contract. The focus on social value also encourages businesses that can demonstrate contributions beyond typical contract fulfilment, potentially enhancing their profile and competitiveness in future procurement exercises.
