Summary of the contracting process

Halton Borough Council is conducting an Open Spaces Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for construction work that began on 15th October 2018 and is set to continue through various tender opportunities until 14th September 2022. The procurement method employed is selective under a restricted procedure, allowing suppliers to submit bids for individual contracts through further competitions. The tender covers a broad range of construction tasks, particularly focusing on landscaping and hard construction works in the UKD71 region. Key dates include the contract extensions awarded on 22nd July, 20th August, and subsequent dates in October 2021.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in construction, landscaping, and environmental services, particularly those entering the market or looking to expand. Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that specialise in areas such as drainage, surfacing, and horticultural services will be ideally positioned to compete. Engaging in this DPS will allow suppliers to secure contracts through a streamlined process while gaining valuable experience working with a local authority.
