Summary of the contracting process

The Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is planning the procurement process for the "Evelina Expansion Programme: Main Contract Works" project, which falls under the health sector construction category. The main location for the works will be London, with particular activity centered around the Triangle Site adjacent to St Thomas' Hospital. This project has an estimated value of £250 million and aims to deliver a new 13-storey building to expand the Evelina London Children's Hospital. The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with a notable deadline for the market engagement questionnaire set for 14 January 2022, and work expected to commence in December 2022, concluding by May 2027. The procurement method is a Competitive Procedure with Negotiation.

This tender presents significant opportunities for construction firms specializing in health-related building works, project management, and construction management services. Businesses that can deliver complete building solutions, including structural work, fit-out services, and medical infrastructure installations, will be well-positioned to compete for this contract. With a substantial budget and extended timeline, companies that can demonstrate reliability and innovative approaches to project delivery are likely to attract attention from the procurement team as they progress toward finalising their contractor selection.
