Summary of the contracting process

The Department of Justice is seeking suppliers for the "ID 3818018 - DoJ - Fully Managed Services for Legal Aid Management System (LAMS)" contract. This procurement falls under the IT services category and is located in the United Kingdom. The procurement method used was limited, specifically an award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition. The contract was signed on 7 December 2021, and while the tender process is complete, it initially faced challenges due to a lack of suitable tenders, leading to a negotiated procedure strategy. The awarded contract is valued at approximately £1,652,301.70 and is currently active, with provisions for extensions after an initial period of five years.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in IT services, particularly those offering consulting, software development, and support services. Businesses that can demonstrate high-quality service delivery and competitive pricing will be well-positioned to compete. Given the nature of the contract, companies should be prepared for a long-term engagement within the legal services sector, and those with experience in public sector contracts may find this opportunity especially advantageous for expansion and development.
