Summary of the contracting process

The Conwy County Borough Council is inviting tenders for the Penrhyn Bay Coastal Defence Scheme, classified under coastal-defence works. This project aims to enhance coastal resilience through various key activities, including the construction of a T-shape rock revetment, beach nourishment, repairs to the seawall, and improvements to public access. The procurement is currently at the planning stage, with a crucial deadline for submitting Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) responses set for Monday, 17th January, at 12:00 pm (UTC). The works are located in Conwy, Wales, and fall under the public works procurement category.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses in construction and civil engineering, particularly those specialising in coastal and marine works. Companies with experience in environmental restoration, landscaping, and the installation of public infrastructure would be particularly well-suited to compete for this project. The diverse nature of the work, coupled with the potential for further related contracts, positions this tender as a solid growth opportunity for qualified contractors looking to expand their portfolio in public sector projects.
