Radipole Park & Gardens Contractor and Landscape Contractor
Notice Description
Weymouth Town Council are looking to appoint a Contractor (or Contractors) to lead the transformation of Radipole Park & Gardens, an important park in the centre of Weymouth, which has provided services to the local community for nearly a hundred years. Prior to commencing the formal procurement exercise and through the publication of this Notice, the Council wishes to notify the market of the upcoming opportunity, identify the level of interest, and invite feedback on the proposed approach.

This Heritage Lottery funded project will include creation of a Heritage Centre/Cafe with toilets, associated civils and landscape works including reintroduction of water play, new equipment within the children's play area and undertake significant improvement to the parks fabric, including addressing existing drainage issues, planting, upgrade of sports courts and fencing, new footpaths and seating with improved accessibility for a wider range of users. Further details: https://www.weymouthtowncouncil.gov.uk/projects/radipole-park-project/ CONTRACT STRUCTURE/ LOTS The Council are considering two procurement routes: (i) a single procurement for a main contractor to deliver the project (either directly or through the use of sub-contractors as necessary), or (ii) two procurements, for separate main contractor and landscape contractor appointments. Responses to the questionnaire will help shape this decision. Additional information: The Council expects to commence the formal procurement in February 2022, with appointments in July 2022 and project completion by March 2023. Ahead of commencing the procurement, the Council invites interested suppliers to respond to a short pre-tender questionnaire to assist the Council's understanding of the market interest in the project, and help shape the commercial approach.
