Central Venous Catheters
Notice Description
Renewal of National Framework for the Supply of Central Venous Catheters covering the following products to NHS Scotland either via the NDC or direct to Health boards. It is expected that the annual value across all the lots will not exceed GBP 1.5m excluding VAT. Please note that the following Lot configuration is for information purposes only and is subject to change.
Lot Information
Coated Central Venous Catheters
We require a Coated Central Venous Catheter (CVC) which will minimise the risk of infection and is for use in, but not limited to; administering medication or fluids that are unable to be taken by mouth or would harm a smaller peripheral vein, to obtain blood tests and to measure central venous pressure.
Non Coated Central Venous CathetersWe require a Coated Central Venous Catheter (CVC) which will minimise the risk of infection and is for use in, but not limited to; administering medication or fluids that are unable to be taken by mouth or would harm a smaller peripheral vein, to obtain blood tests and to measure central venous pressure.
Paediatric Central Venous CathetersWe require a Paediatric Central Venous Catheter (CVC) for use in, but not limited to; administering medication or fluids that are unable to be taken by mouth or would harm a smaller peripheral vein, to obtain blood tests and to measure central venous pressure.
Midline CathetersWe require a Midline Catheter for longer term IV access which is ideal for patients whose treatment is expected to last more than three (3) days.
Skin Tunnelling CathetersWe require a Skin Tunnelling Catheter suitable for long term insertion for use in, but not limited to; taking a blood sample, giving medication, giving blood or blood products, giving chemotherapy, intravenous feeding, bone marrow transplantation, and photopheresis.
PICC LinesWe require a (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter) PICC Line (Non-Coated & Antimicrobial), which is used for a prolonged period of time for Chemotherapy or Antibiotic therapy along with the administration of substances that should not be done peripherally.
Arterial Monitoring Lines and Arterial Cannula1) We require a Seldinger Arterial Line, which can be inserted in a variety of arteries, the most common sites for placement being the radial and the femoral artery. 2) 2) We require a Non Selindger Arterial Cannula which is designed for insertion into peripheral arteries, allowing the for the determination of blood gas estimations or monitoring blood pressure.
Implantable PortsWe require a range of implantable ports that are used within an clinical environment to give IV Treatments and Blood Transfusions directly into a vein.
PICC Catheter Placement SystemWe require a PICC Catheter Placement System that is used in clinical environment to insert PICC products into patients.
