Notice Title
Framework for the Provision of a Level 3 Bridging Skills Certificate (in partnership with Health Education England)
Notice Description
In partnership with HEE, this ITT is to produce a preferred provider list of training providers who can offer this programme. Then is no funding available from HEE, so Trusts will purchase the programmes themselves (or their employees/individuals can pay for the course). The programme will enable learners who hold a level 3 apprenticeship or NVQ to access higher apprenticeships, for example OT degree. Background: Clearing blockages to career progression: Supporting staff to progress to degree apprenticeships Following discussions with a number of Higher Education Institutes HEE have gained agreement that they will accept the Level 3 Certificate in Bridging Skills for Higher Education within their entry criteria for some degree apprenticeships, for example Occupational Therapist degree apprenticeship, under specific circumstances. The Bridging Course is aimed at existing NHS staff who do not meet the traditional UCAS entry requirements but who are felt to be suitable for a degree apprenticeship.
