Summary of the contracting process

The Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is currently conducting an open procurement process for a Framework for the Provision of a Level 3 Bridging Skills Certificate, aimed at producing a preferred provider list of training providers. This initiative falls under the education and training services category and is intended for NHS staff seeking progression to higher apprenticeships. The tender period concludes on 28th March 2022, with the award of contracts expected to commence on 29th March 2022. This framework will operate for a duration of 1080 days, and participating entities may renew for an additional period of 12 months.

This tender presents significant opportunities for training providers and educational institutions that specialise in vocational training and apprenticeships, particularly those with a robust track record of apprenticeship success as evidenced by Ofsted reports. With no direct funding from Health Education England, prospective suppliers should be prepared to cater to individual Trusts and employees seeking to purchase training. Companies capable of delivering quality educational programmes tailored for NHS career progression will find this framework beneficial to their growth ambitions.
