Summary of the contracting process

The Executive Office (TEO) is actively seeking to appoint a contractor for the project titled "Communities in Transition (CIT) Expanding Restorative Practice in Non Justice Settings." This procurement falls under the category of 'Other community, social and personal services,' with a total estimated contract value of approximately £1,420,000. The procurement process is currently in the active tender stage, which will remain open until the deadline for submissions on 11 March 2022. The programme aims to design and deliver activities across eight designated CIT areas in Northern Ireland, with a focus on community engagement and restorative practices.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in community services, restorative practices, or social interventions. Companies with expertise in social work, conflict resolution, and community development are well-suited to compete. Given the focus on restorative practices, businesses that can demonstrate a track record of successful community engagement and programme delivery will likely be favoured in the evaluation process.

Notice Description

The Executive Office (TEO) is seeking to appoint a Contractor to design and deliver a programme of activities that will increase the use of restorative practice in the eight CIT Areas of focus listed at paragraph 2.6 of the Schedule (for maps of the areas, please see separate document entitled "ANNEX A MAPS OF THE 8 CIT AREAS"). It is envisioned that the Contractor will also operate in an 'area of influence' around the core outlined CIT areas. The core area provides a focal point for action and investment. The concept of a wider area of influence, that is not sharply defined, acknowledges that thriving places require wider connection to both physical and social assets. Investment decisions and actions will be informed by the likely impact on core areas. Please see the Specification document for further details.
