Given the need to address the significant increase in patient waiting lists and National shortage due to pressures on the overseas exam availability and National shortage of UK trained consultant oncologists (RCR workforce census)as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic. Swansea Bay Health Board has explored the potential for engagement through a compliant Public Sector Agency Framework, but due to the niche nature of the post, the HB has been unable to source via the compliant procurement route. SBUHB require a Locum consultant medical oncologist for a period of 6 months whilst a permanent solution is completed.
