Still Soft Drinks, including fruit juice, cordials, iced coffee and iced tea, smoothies & flavoured milkFruit-based beverages containing between 5 percent and 99 percent fruit are considered to be fruit drinks, rather than fruit juice. Fruit drinks often contain more water than real juice and usually have flavourings, artificial sweeteners and colourings added. This segment also includes dilutables such as cordials, squash, powders and other concentrates. Over the five years through 2021to22, revenue generated by this segment is expected to have decreased, reaching 2 percent of industry revenue. Sports, Health or energy DrinksEnergy drinks Category worth PS1.39 Billion pounds growth up 5.41 percent on average over past 5 years. Growth driven by product size and flavoured energy with zero sugar. Suppliers should support over the annual period such as energy drinks during exam period where suppliers see a huge increase in sales. Freshers, promotions, throughout the year to help sales across campuses.Sports drinks are designed to enhance physical performance before, during and after physical activity. They are typically manufactured to replace fluids and electrolytes lost by perspiration and boost the body's carbohydrate intake. Energy drinks on the other hand are traditionally sugar based.
