Summary of the contracting process

The NHS Wales Procurement Services and Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) are entering the planning stage for the procurement of Level 7 Critical Care Programmes intended for use across Wales. The virtual Preliminary Market Consultation event, taking place via Microsoft Teams on 7th June 2022 from 4pm to 5pm, aims to engage education providers in discussions regarding the requirements of this contract. Interested bidders are required to express their intent by 24th May 2022, and may also schedule a brief one-on-one discussion with HEIW representatives to clarify their understanding of the upcoming procurement process.

This tender offers significant opportunities for educational institutions and training providers specialising in healthcare education. Businesses that focus on delivering blended learning solutions, specifically postgraduate certifications in critical care nursing, would be particularly well-suited to participate. By engaging in this market consultation, potential bidders can influence the scope of the procurement and align their offerings with the needs outlined by HEIW, thus positioning themselves favourably for future contracts in health professional education and training services.
