Summary of the contracting process

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) is planning a Market Awareness Event titled "Provision of online standards, databases and publications," scheduled for 25th and 26th May 2022, conducted via MS TEAMS. This initiative aims to engage potential suppliers and gather insights on market interest for the upcoming requirements in subscription services, focusing on online databases, publications, and standards. Interested suppliers must register by 18:00 on 23rd May to attend and are encouraged to request a one-on-one session for detailed discussions. Following this event, the MoD intends to issue a request for information (RFI) to gather further inputs from suppliers.

This tender presents significant opportunities for growth, particularly for companies specialising in subscription services, digital media, and publishing. Businesses providing online databases, academic journals, and governmental or military publications would be particularly well-suited to compete. Engaging in the planned Market Awareness Event will allow suppliers to better understand the requirements and shape their proposals to meet the MoD's needs effectively. The procurement process is set in a context that values transparency and best value for money, making it essential for participants to showcase clear advantages in their offerings.
