Summary of the contracting process

Scottish Water is currently facilitating a procurement process for a "Multi-Lot Tanks Framework" focused on works related to prefabricated units. The tender covers the design, supply, installation, and testing of various storage tanks, with a total value of approximately £7.2 million. The deadline for submitting PQQ documents is set for 23 June 2022, leading to an invitation to tender anticipated on 31 July 2022. This public procurement is located in Glasgow, Scotland, and follows a selective procurement method through a negotiated procedure with prior call for competition.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses within the construction and engineering sectors, particularly those specialising in manufacturing and installing storage solutions for potable water and chemicals. Companies with experience in compliance with the Drinking Water Inspectorate standards and those capable of adapting designs to meet specific site requirements would be particularly well-suited to compete. The framework agreement and potential for multiple lot awards could allow successful bidders to establish long-term partnerships with Scottish Water, thus fostering business growth.
