Redevelopment of the Cornwall College Group Camborne Campus
Notice Description
The College has submitted a funding application to the Department for Education to redevelop the site, through rationalisation of the estate from 30,313 sqm to approx.. 19,448sqm with consolidation of provision into fewer, more centralised, existing buildings being identified as the preferred option. The aim of the Camborne redevelopment is to create an exciting, inspirational and sustainable fit for purpose learning and teaching environment for the delivery of high quality provision for young people, business and the local community in key priority sectors.* Retained buildings will be re-modelled and upgraded to high quality, fit for purpose teaching and learning space* 6,310sqm of poor quality estate will be demolished* Consolidation from 21 dispersed buildings to 9 centralised buildings creating a central focal point for the siteWorks will consist of the following: - Demolition, Groundworks & infrastructure, Refurbishment of retained buildings.Contractor appointed by Dec 2022
