Notice Description
Leicestershire County Council would like to engage with the market in relation to options concerning Zouch Bridge. The purpose of this exercise is to gauge market's interest and to investigate potential options. Interested contactors are invited to complete a short questionnaire in response to this exercise. The document including further background and the questionnaire itself is available via EastMidsTenders e-tendering portal (log in required, free registration). Please note that at this stage this is a market engagement exercise only. Responding to this document does not advantage or disadvantage any contractor in any possible future procurement process. No contractor selection or contractor preference is implied. Please disregard value at II.1.5. Estimated total value. This is a mandatory field, however, we appreciate that the value would be dependent on the option selected for the future contract. Please also disregard date at II.3. Estimated date of publication of contract notice. This is a mandatory field, however, the procurement approach has not been confirmed yet.

Lot 1
Zouch Bridge was built in 1930. It forms part of the A6006 which is strategically important in terms of transport infrastructure, the strategic road network, and the regional economy. It links Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire by crossing the River Soar between the villages of Hathern in Charnwood, and Zouch in the Rushcliffe Borough. The Council is currently considering both replacement and refurbishment option for the bridge.
