This service aims to offer residents with a disability and their carers, of all ages: a new way to connect with community groups and local activities access to information, advice and support that enables them to overcome barriers/ challenges and live fulfilled and active lives support to develop and maintain independence and resilience, preventing needs from escalating. The ambition is for the service to create an environment that empowers people with a disability and their carers through advocacy, self-advocacy and support that builds resilience and promotes inclusion in local community life.

This service aims to offer residents with a disability and their carers, of all ages: a new way to connect with community groups and local activities access to information, advice and support that enables them to overcome barriers/ challenges and live fulfilled and active lives support to develop and maintain independence and resilience, preventing needs from escalating. The ambition is for the service to create an environment that empowers people with a disability and their carers through advocacy, self-advocacy and support that builds resilience and promotes inclusion in local community life. The contracting authority wishes to engage with potential and suitable organisations that can connect with, lead and co-ordinate local voluntary sector organisations in providing a service which directly supports vulnerable residents. For that purpose interested organisations are requested to download the attached information and questionnaire, and to complete and return the questionnaire via the messaging facility on Pro-Contract by 3pm on Thursday 7th July 2022. Any queries should be sent to the related project messaging facility. Completed questionnaires must be submitted using the Pro-Contract e-tendering Portal messaging facility. This will require you to register your company at https://procontract.due-north.com.
