Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process concerns the redevelopment of Euston Conventional Station (RECS) managed by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, targeting the construction industry. Currently in the planning stage, this initiative involves market engagement to gather insights from potential suppliers through a market questionnaire form (MQF). Key dates include the deadline for responses by 24th August 2022, and an anticipated future notice on 1st July 2024. The project, located in London, is part of a broader strategy to improve transport infrastructure and is classified under various construction-related CPV codes.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for construction and engineering firms, particularly those experienced in railway and civil engineering projects. Suppliers specialising in construction work, site preparation, and telecommunication installations will find this prospect particularly relevant. Given the project's emphasis on enhancing local transport links and minimising disruption during the redevelopment, businesses that can provide innovative solutions and comply with the upcoming procurement requirements will be well-positioned to compete effectively.

Lot Information

Lot 1

Euston Station was designed over 50 years ago with assets at or approaching life expiry. Euston offers an opportunity to build a station that enhances the local area and better serves the community. The redeveloped Euston Station will be a vital interchange between important local, regional, and national transport routes. Reliable, efficient, connected transport links at Euston will bring people and businesses closer together. There is large potential economic benefit in redeveloping the conventional station in parallel with the second phase of HS2. This parallel development will help to minimise passenger disruption, and support a cohesive regeneration of the Euston area, resulting in socio-economic growth. As well as the redevelopment of the station building, the station also requires the relocation of some of Euston's facilities (e.g. taxi rank, car park) which further increases passenger pressures and overcrowding. In due course, Network Rail intends to undertake one or more formal procurement events in relation to the works, goods and services required to deliver RECS. Additional information: Should you wish to provide feedback via the MQF, please follow the link below to the Microsoft Form and complete no later than 24th August 2022. https://forms.office.com/r/D0gFt21H8r
