Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process titled "Proc 22-1612 Provision of Job Advert Services/Solutions" is conducted by the Scottish Police Authority, based in Glasgow, United Kingdom, under the classification of advertising services. This tender is currently in the award stage, having been initiated on 29 July 2022. The open procedure aimed to establish a framework for the ongoing purchase of job board credits to support the recruitment efforts of both the Scottish Police Authority and Police Scotland. Unfortunately, this particular tender resulted in an unsuccessful award, which may impact future opportunities in this area.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for companies specialising in recruitment advertising and digital job board services. Businesses with solutions tailored for public sector recruitment, especially those that can demonstrate high-quality advertising capabilities and compliance with best practice standards – such as quality management policies and adherence to living wage stipulations – would be well-suited to compete. The focus on finding high-calibre candidates for public roles creates a unique market niche that may be advantageous for aspiring service providers in this competitive landscape.

Proc 22-1612 Provision of Job Advert Services/Solutions

Notice Description

The recruitment department within Police Scotland regularly have a requirement to publish job adverts on recruitment platforms to reach the wider recruitment pool via the use of job board credits. Therefore the Authority has a requirement to put in place a compliant contract for the ongoing purchase of job board credits from a range of suitable online job board platforms for staff recruitment. This will enable the recruitment department to have control over where and when adverts are published and on which platforms, in the hope that it will attract high calibre external applicants for Business as usual (BAU) and hard to fill niche roles for both The Scottish Police Authority (SPA) and Police Scotland.
