Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process is being conducted by Digital Health and Care Wales, focusing on the title "Data Centre Capacity for NHS Wales IT Systems," which falls within the services industry category, specifically related to data network management and support services. The procurement is currently in the tender stage, with submissions closing on 13 September 2022. The process will be executed through an open procedure via the Bravo e-tendering system. Interested suppliers must ensure that their tender documents are submitted electronically before the deadline, and all responses must be priced in GBP.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for companies specialising in IT infrastructure, data management, and co-location services. Given the scale of the requirements, businesses that can provide transition services and manage complex IT systems will find themselves well-positioned to compete. Additionally, the framework agreement allows other public sector organisations in Wales to call off additional services, further expanding potential contract opportunities for successful bidders over the four-year duration of the agreement.
