Procurement Information
The contract is for extracting the data directly from GP's systems, processing the data and then forwarding to UKHSA. Currently, there is no provision for the data to be obtained in any other way and the data extraction does not involve trusts where there is a manual collection as the extraction is from GP practices of which there are 6,500. Each of these practices has a single supplier responsible for these extractions and are compelled to use one of the 3 suppliers who were awarded a place on to the GP IT Futures framework. EMIS are responsible for approximately 3,575 GP practices (approx. 58% of all GP practices)
