Notice Description
Newcastle University will be entering into a contract with NTT DATA Business Solutions Ltd to supply implementation services for part of its IT Education Template for the University's business critical Student LifeCycle Management student record system to support the University in being able to maintain its fee setting capabilities.

The award of this contract will allow for work to be carried out to implement the fees part of the IT Education Template to enable the University to use its investment in Student LifeCycle Management and deliver the ability to set, maintain and change fees in the following areas. * Automatic fee calculation on program level * Tuition Fee visibility in student file * Commencing year functionality * Fee Type determination * Event driven calculation / batch driven calculation * Refund functionality * G/L determination * Account Key / Account key grouping in condition tables * Controlling determination * UK specific fee configuration tables * UK specific condition tables / access sequences / pricing procedures
Procurement Information
Intention to award a contract under UK Statutory Instrument 2015 No. 102 Part 2 Chapter 2 Section 3 Regulation 32(1)(b)(ii) and (iii) as NTT DATA Business Solutions Ltd are the strategic partner for Student LifeCycle management within the EU and UK and have enhanced the product with their IT Education template for use in the UK and EU. As the University will not be moving away from Student LifeCycle management for its student record system only NTT Data Business Solutions can provide the standard implementation services for their template and work with the University on its specific needs.. The award is lawful according to: The negotiated procedure without prior publication may be used for public works contracts, public supply contracts and public service contracts in any of the following cases: 1. competition is absent for technical reasons and. 2. the protection of exclusive rights, including intellectual property rights
