The BBC would welcome responses to this request for information (RFI) in order to inform our thinking prior to any potential procurement exercise. The scope of this RFI is to investigate solutions to assist engineers who are on an out of hours support rota. The high level scope covers: * Scheduling management: o Rota management and organisation of out of hours engineers into teams/groups to support products/services etc * Call out management: o Phone numbers that route to whoever is on call (one per team / per product etc) o Escalation management (e.g. route calls to an engineering manager/head of software/other appropriate escalation point etc in case of no answer) o Notifications on call out such as Slack, email, MS Teams etc The purpose of this notice is to invite interested parties to complete a questionnaire which will allow the BBC to: * build an understanding of current solutions available in the marketplace * gain feedback on: o the availability of solutions in the marketplace, o whether there is one solution to meet the needs, or whether these would need to be met by differing solutions o whether functionality not currently met is on a supplier's roadmap and any cost/timescales associated with building it in o indicative costs and timescales for the on boarding of the solution o support of solution o any barriers to the implementation of the product/solution Please note this invitation has been issued purely as an information seeking exercise and is not part of any formal procurement process.

    "description": "In the case of technology requirements, the BBC may involve its technology partner (Atos IT Solutions and Services Limited) to assist in the scoping and drafting of invitations to tender and/or the evaluation of tenders. However, the final decision as to which is the most economically advantageous (by reference to the award criteria) will be made by the BBC. The awarding authority reserves the right not to award a contract and to annul the procurement process at any stage. Tenders and all supporting documents must be priced in sterling and all payments will be made in sterling. The contract shall be subject to English law. The awarding authority does not bind itself to accept the lowest, or any tender and reserves the right to accept part of a tender unless the tenderer expressly stipulates otherwise in the tender document.
