Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process outlined was initiated by Trinity House, based in London, United Kingdom, under the title "T0521 - Crane and Davit Maintenance and Support Framework Agreement". This tender falls within the industry category of repair and maintenance services for cranes, with a focus on supporting various lifting devices used by Trinity House vessels. The procurement stage is complete, with the contract's key awards made in September 2025. The framework agreement had an open procurement method, utilising an open procedure, and was segmented into six lots to cater to specific maintenance and support needs across the UK.

This framework agreement provides substantial business growth opportunities, particularly suited for companies in the maintenance, repair, and technical support industries. Businesses specialising in crane services, including those offering preventive maintenance, overhaul, repair, and technical support for lifting systems, stand to gain from this contract. SMEs and large enterprises, especially those with capabilities in hydraulic and gravity davits maintenance, are well-positioned to benefit, leveraging the possibility of individual orders from Trinity House to meet specific maintenance demands. The involvement of multiple suppliers, such as Scaldon BV, IMES International, and Liebherr, indicates diverse opportunities across various facets of marine support services.
