Notice Description

The Strengthening Higher Education for Female Empowerment (SHEFE) programme aims to reform Higher Education systems to deliver a better future for women and girls. Operating through a partnership model, the programme will influence system-wide change through bringing together relevant stakeholders. This new programme will build on the successful legacy of the FCDO's Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education Innovation and Reform (SPHEIR) programme. SHEFE will identify and address complex barriers preventing young women accessing higher education and successfully transitioning to productive employment, including tackling sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment (SEAH). The programme outputs also include the establishment of a Higher Education Centre of Expertise, a new demand-led, draw down facility to ensure the FCDO's global network has access to high-quality technical expertise, best practice and tailored policy advice. This EME will introduce the aims of the SHEFE programme to the market; stimulate interest; solicit feedback and on its scope, design and delivery model; and share information on the wider programme's timeframe for delivery. This Early Market Engagement event (EME) is scheduled to take place virtually on Monday 20th March @ 14:00 -16:00 GMT.
