Notice Description
NHS Supply Chain: Food looked for suppliers who had the capacity and capability to deliver and possess the drive to work collaboratively with NHS Supply Chain: Food and Schools to provide the right solution and manage the Supply into Distributors as part of the SFVS. This procurement is for: The supply of fruit and vegetable products under the SFVS to be delivered to nominated distribution hubs in England. SFVS is a Government funded initiative that supplies a piece of fruit or vegetable to all key stage 1 children (ages 4-7) in England for consumption up to 190 days each academic year. It is anticipated that in the first 24 months the value of the Framework Agreement will be in the region of PS62,700,000. This is based on the around 16,520 Primary Schools currently using the School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme. For the full 48 month term (if extended) the anticipated value of the Framework Agreement will be in the region of PS125,400,000. These values are approximate only and are based on the most recent historical usage information. The values provided are for guidance only and are not a guarantee of business.

For the supply of Apples into the School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme. The value for the first 24 months is anticipated to be PS9,817,360.44 and PS19,634,720.90 for the full 48 months (if extended).
Options: The Framework Agreement will have the option to extend incrementally for up to a further 24 months. The contract will be for a maximum term of 48 months.
Renewal: The Framework Agreement will have an initial term of 24 months with an option to extend incrementally for up to a further 24 months
PearsFor the supply of Pears into the School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme. The value for the first 24 months is anticipated to be PS8,846,272.98 and PS17,692,545.97 for the full 48 months (if extended).
Options: The Framework Agreement will have the option to extend incrementally for up to a further 24 months. The contract will be for a maximum term of 48 months.

Easy Peel CitrusFor the supply of Easy Peel Citrus into the School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme. The value for the first 24 months is anticipated to be PS7,158,728.98 and PS14,317,457.96 for the full 48 months (if extended).
