Lot Information

Provision of supported Housing units. The services provide tier 2 support including housing related support. They provide flexible and non-stigmatising support service for people with severe and enduring mental health problems. Services enable people with mental health problems to recover, sustain recovery, be socially included and to gain, re-gain or maintain independent living skills. Services enhance the service user's chances of successfully re-establishing or maintaining themselves in the community by taking on an enabling and/or a support role with that person. Providers work with the customers to support them to develop the skills to succeed in being independent. The majority of units provide planned support for up to 2 years. In addition, some services provide units for unplanned support. The unplanned support provides an alternative to hospital admission for people in mental health crisis, or those in danger of their situation becoming a crisis. They are delivered in partnership with the Home Treatment service or local mental health team, who gatekeep access. The service provides short stay accommodation (normally up to 72 hours) in 24 hour supported accommodation for people in mental health crisis, or in danger of their situation becoming a crisis, to avoid hospital admission

Suffolk County Council (SCC) intend to direct award a 12 month contract (with the option to extend for a further 12 months) to the incumbent suppliers.
