Summary of the contracting process

Pembrokeshire County Council, in association with Hywel Dda University Health Board, is inviting bids for its "Dynamic Purchasing System for the Provision of Domiciliary Care and Support Services". This procurement seeks social work services in the UKL14 region, focusing on supporting individuals assessed as requiring domiciliary care packages to remain living independently in their homes. The process, managed through an open procedure, is currently in the award stage as of 5th March 2026, with notable awards being recently signed, such as the contract with Quayside Care Limited, valued at £539,443.57, signed on 20th March 2024, and the partnership with Pembrokeshire Care Society, also active. The procurement aims to foster community connections through effective scheduling and collaboration with service providers, adhering to set conditions including payment standards for care providers.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses in the health and social work industry, particularly SMEs who can deliver domiciliary care services adhering to specific conditions such as hourly pay rates and mileage reimbursement. It encourages collaborative efforts to maintain local connectivity and effective scheduling, highlighting opportunities for consortia and providers to actively participate. Given its expansive ten-year term and framework agreement, businesses with Care Inspectorate Wales registration would find this tender highly beneficial for growth and engagement in the Pembrokeshire region with ongoing provision possibilities, as evidenced by the dynamic awarding of multiple packages in this field.
