Notice Description

Green Growth Nepal(GGN) will support and provide assistance to the Government of Nepal (GoN) and subnational governments to advance sustainable and green growth in Nepal. In particular, GGN will address and overcome the main constrains to green growth by expanding investment in green industries and services, improving climate-resilient infrastructure, and strengthening sustainable economic policy and facilitating economic opportunities across Nepal. These interventions are expected to create prosperity while protecting the environment and the natural assets that underpin sustainable growth in Nepal.

GGN will support and provide assistance to the Government of Nepal (GoN) and subnational governments to advance sustainable and green growth in Nepal. In particular, GGN will address and overcome the main constrains to green growth by expanding investment in green industries and services, improving climate-resilient infrastructure, and strengthening sustainable economic policy and facilitating economic opportunities across Nepal. These interventions are expected to create prosperity while protecting the environment and the natural assets that underpin sustainable growth in Nepal. The programme will work in the following areas: Component 1: Promote green growth and investments - Support economic and industrial strategy, policy and capability through technical assistance to federal and provincial governments - Strengthen Nepal's approach to attracting Foreign Direct Investment and developing Public Private Partnerships Component 2: Enabling investment in climate resilient infrastructure in cities Component 3: Deepen the financial sector and increase access to green and international finance
