Notice Description
Nottinghamshire County Council (The Council) is seeking to establish a provider list, using a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) under the Light Touch regime of the Public Contracts regulations 2015, of organisations who are able to provide commissioned placements of children and young people.

Nottinghamshire County Council (The Council) has established an Independent / non-maintained special schools provider list, using a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) under the Light Touch regime of the Public Contracts regulations 2015. The services cover the requirements for placements of children & young people in 2 / 3 independent/non-maintained special schools for education services in either day or residential settings made directly on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council in greater Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas. The Provider List became active on the 1st of September 2016 and is due to expire on the 31st of August 2023. The DPS has been extended for a seven (7) month period until the 31st of March 2024 to allow for the completion of the recommissioning process. The new expiry date is the 31st of March 2024 (unless terminated earlier). This notice is to advise the Commission of the change in the period of validity of the DPS. Additional information: In line with Regulation 34, 28(a)- where the period of validity is changed without terminating the system, the form used initially for the call for competition for the dynamic purchasing system; This notice is to advise of the extension of the DPS from 1st September 2023 to 31st March 2024. The DPS was extended for a seven (7) month period until the 31st of March 2024 to allow for the completion of the recommissioning process, which gave a new expiry date of the 31st of March 2024 (unless terminated earlier). Due the Council receiving a limited number of bids in the new recommissioning process the Council will not have sufficient Providers on the new Framework to meet the necessary demands for this service. The DPS has therefore been extended for a further 9 months to the 31st of December 2024 to go back out to market again for the new framework. The new expiry date of the DPS is the 31st of December 2024. The extension of the DPS allows the Council to continue to make referrals to current providers already on the Nottinghamshire Approved Provider List. Please note that the Council will not be accepting new applications to the DPS from the 1st of September as the DPS ends on the 31st December and any new schools wishing to provide specialist education placements to the Council must apply to join the new Specialist Education framework instead"
