Summary of the contracting process

The latest public procurement process involves the Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation (YPO) in partnership with London Councils, focusing on a framework for international recruitment of social work roles and associated services. The process is in the award stage, with key entities like Axis Recruitment Limited and Reed Specialist Recruitment among the awarded suppliers. The procurement targets the recruitment services sector (CPV code 79600000) across the UK. The framework commences from 24th June 2025 and has options to extend until 23rd June 2029. Main procurement methods applied include an open procedure, with a framework agreement in place.

This framework presents an excellent opportunity for businesses specialising in recruitment services to expand their reach to UK local authorities, facilitating their recruitment of international professionals for social work roles. Businesses equipped to provide high-quality recruitment services, and those that can demonstrate social value and sustainability, will be well-positioned to compete for potential future opportunities within this framework. Small and medium-sized enterprises can leverage this framework to collaborate with public sector organisations, enhance their offerings, and gain valuable exposure in the UK market.
