Summary of the contracting process

Carmarthenshire County Council is buying fitness equipment for the new leisure facility at the Atriwm in Carmarthen. The requirement covers equipment supply, delivery, installation and maintenance, including bespoke fitness-equipment projects. For the wider lot, evaluation weights were price 60%, quality 35% and social value 5%.

This requirement suits suppliers able to provide commercial fitness equipment as a complete service: sourcing and supplying equipment, delivering it to leisure facilities, installing it and maintaining it. Lot 2 - Fitness Equipment

This Lot includes the supply, delivery, installation and maintenance of fitness equipment and associated products and services such as leasing arrangements and refurbished equipment. Customers can purchase fitness equipment and maintenance packages via direct award or further competition.

Options: The framework agreement has the option to extend for up to a further 24 months. The total estimated value stated in Section II.1.7 includes the option period.

Procurement Information

An original competetive exercise was undertaken in 2024 with the clear explanation that the successful Tenderer migth be awarded additional work, without competition. This was decided due to the requirement of consistency of gym equipment across the county and is permitted by the Framework
