Summary of the contracting process

Gold Hill HA, represented by B2G, has launched a national framework for specialist roofing contractors to provide pitched and solar roofing solutions and associated works and services. The procurement process is at the award stage, with a focus on works within the construction industry category. The deadline for bids has passed, and the award has been made to multiple suppliers. The procurement location is across the UK, offering opportunities for businesses in the roofing sector to participate in delivering projects for various public authorities.

This tender by Gold Hill HA creates opportunities for SMEs and large companies in the roofing and construction sectors to engage with contracting authorities across the UK. The framework agreement allows for mini competitions or direct awards, catering to both responsive and planned works. With a renewal option and potential for additional suppliers to join, this procurement method offers stability and growth prospects for businesses looking to expand into the public sector construction projects market.

Notice Title

B2G Pitched and Solar Roofing solutions and all associated works, goods and services

Notice Description

On behalf of Gold Hill HA, B2G.services have tendered a national framework for use by contracting authorities across the UK wishing to procure the new or continued services of specialist roofing contractors to deliver pitched and solar roofing installations, repairs and upgrades, and all associated works, goods and services, for both residential and non-residential property. The B2G DPS operates alongside all B2G frameworks, whose 'dynamic open' format enable contract assignment of projects in whole or part to specialist suppliers registered on the B2G DPS, who then contract with the authority and deliver those elements under the auspices of the framework supplier, and compliant with the specification, standards and regulations set out in the framework documents. This facility optimises project procurement, delivery, risk management and control. To this end, roofing projects and or programmes can be awarded to the framework supplier - all of whom are pitched roofing contractors - to deliver the roofing works and oversee the roofing programme, whilst the solar elements can be assigned to the RE tech specialist registered on the B2G DPS, who is better to suited to manage those solar PV elements from design through network connection. RE tech specialists are invited to register for the DPS at any time.

Lot Information

Lot 1

Contracting authorities will have the option to run a mini competition or direct award any contract to any supplier. Contracts may relate to either responsive or planned works, and in terms of scale may relate to anything from a single project on a single site to a programme of multiple projects across multiple sites delivered over an extended term. Additional information: Whilst this framework will not seek to limit the choice and source of any products procured through it, given historic usage patterns and thus likelihood their products will feature in client specifications, it's been prepared with the active input and co-operation of system suppliers including Redland, Marley, Sandtoft, Cedral, Britmet, Langley and Metrotile, with a view to facilitating the procurement of projects where their roofing and solar products are being installed. The framework's initial duration is 12 months with automatic renewal of equal periods, and in accordance with the framework terms and conditions new suppliers may apply and be appointed at any time subject to meeting the same evaluation criteria as the original appointees.

Renewal: The framework agreement shall run for an initial term of twelve months and then automatically renew for subsequent periods of the same length until such time as B2G serves notice of termination. The shortened term enables all parties to better withstand market and supply chain volatility, with pricing remaining current, competitive, durable and viable. The automatic renewal ensures optimum efficiency. To ensure the framework remains open, fair and competitive at all times, additional suppliers may also be appointed, subject to submitting a bid and being evaluated and awarded by B2G in accordance with the same criteria and terms.
