Glasgow City Council has awarded a multi-lot framework agreement for the provision of statutory private sector housing repairs. This tender falls under the industry category of "Multi-dwelling buildings construction work" and is structured into two lots: Lot 1 for minor works up to GBP 499,999, and Lot 2 for major works of GBP 500,000 and above. The procurement method used was an open procedure, and the total value of the contract is GBP 12,000,000 for each lot. This initiative aims to ensure buildings are wind and water-tight and structurally secure, with a duration of up to 1,440 days without renewal. The delivery location for these services is Glasgow City, UKM82 region.

This tender provides substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in construction and repair services. The framework promotes the involvement of SMEs, as evidenced by the awarded suppliers such as Cairn Building Solutions Ltd, Clark Contracts Ltd, Contract Building Services (Scotland) Ltd, Go-Wright Ltd, and W H Kirkwood Ltd, all of which are small to medium-sized enterprises. Companies in the construction and building repair sectors, particularly those with a track record in statutory repairs and compliance with planning and building control requirements, will find this framework lucrative as it promises significant revenue and long-term engagement. Additionally, adherence to Glasgow City Council's policies through community benefits inclusions makes it a compelling opportunity for firms aiming to enhance their local presence and corporate social responsibility profile.
