Notice Title
Real Time Passenger Information and Advertising Request for Information *Soft Market Testing*
Notice Description
The Council is due to procure a new contract for its RTPI system, when the current contract expires on 30th November 2025. We are currently exploring our options for reprocuring this service, either through a framework or other route to market. At this stage this opportunity is soft market test only and not a call for competition. The main purpose of this Request for Information/Market Engagement is to understand whether providers can supply the following: 1) Real Time Passenger Information Core System - refers to the technological solution and software designed to collect, process, and present live information related to bus services departure times. 2) Real Time Passenger Information Display Supply and Maintenance - this involves the provision, installation, and ongoing maintenance of the electronic displays used to disseminate real-time information to passengers at bus stops, public transport stations, or other relevant locations. 3) Commercial Advertising on RTPI Displays - With an increasing digital estate to maintain, the Council has sought to identify innovative ways to cover the associated revenue costs. For several years, the Council has piloted and rolled out the sale of commercial advertising on the real time displays. The advertising partner is responsible for the sourcing and deployment of adverts onto the real time displays, and management of the advertising project. The Council wishes to continue and enhance this to a level that it has zero revenue costs associated with the Contract. Please note this Request for Information is open until 15th April 2024.
