Summary of the contracting process

The Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) is initiating a procurement for a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Deer & Other Wildlife Management services. The DPS aims to provide a compliant route to market to replace terminated contracts and allow future bidding opportunities. The procurement is in the services category and is currently in the active stage. The deadline for submissions has been extended until 16th May 2024, providing an opportunity for businesses to participate in the procurement process. The contracting authority aims to procure goods and services in accordance with the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.

This tender for Deer & Other Wildlife Management services by Forestry and Land Scotland presents opportunities for businesses in forest pest control services. Companies involved in deer culling, forest pest control, and hunting services would be well-suited to compete in this procurement process. By participating in the DPS, businesses can secure contracts for providing wildlife management services to FLS across SNFL, which includes opportunities in various regions for different estimated annual cull requirements. The DPS also encourages adherence to Environmental Management and Health & Safety standards to ensure quality delivery of services.

Notice Title

Deer & Other Wildlife Management Dynamic Purchasing System

Notice Description

FLS is establishing a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the provision of Deer & Other Wildlife Management across SNFL. A Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) is an electronic system established by a contracting authority to purchase commonly used goods, works or services in accordance with the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015. Admittance to a DPS gives participants the opportunity to subsequently bid for relevant future opportunities which are procured through the DPS. The purpose of the DPS is to provide a compliant route to market for FLS to replace Deer & Other Wildlife Management contracts which have been terminated due to contract failure or to replace contracts upon their expiration. This DPS will not be used as a route to market for any other reason. The scope of the DPS is primarily for deer culling. The culling of feral pig, feral goat and feral sheep is required on an opportunistic basis only. FLS reserves the right to deliver or procure a targeted feral pig, feral goat and/or feral sheep cull.
