Provision of Base Material
Notice Description
The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board for Weqas who seeks to establish a contract for the supply of base material products (serum and plasma products).
Lot Information
Single Donor off the clot Serum
The serum material to be supplied must be; a) sterile b) tested and found negative for HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C c) optically clear and free of particulate matter d) non Haemolysed, non icteric, non turbid The supplier must be able to provide the age, sex and drug history
Renewal: The 60 months above includes an option to extend for two 12 month increments at the sole discretion of the Health Board.
Defibrinated PlasmaThis Lot is for Defibrinated Plasma. The Plasma material to be supplied must be; a) sterile b) optically clear and free of particulate matter. c) non Haemolysed, non icteric, non turbid d) easily filtered through a 0.6 & 0.2um filter e) provided in containers / bags suitable for freezing to -20degC.
Renewal: The 60 months includes the option to extend for a further two 12 month intervals at the sole discretion of the Health Board
EDTA PlasmaThis Lot is for EDTA Plasma. The serum material to be supplied must be; a) sterile b) tested and found negative for HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C c) optically clear and free of particulate matter d) serum must be representative of native plasma The material must be provided in containers / bags suitable for freezing to -20degC
Renewal: The 60 months includes the option to extend for a further two 12 month intervals at the sole discretion of the Health Board
Lithium Heparin SerumThis Lot is for Lithium Heparin Plasma. The material to be supplied must be; a) sterile b) tested and found negative for HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C c) optically clear and free of particulate matter d) serum must be representative of native plasma e) the manufacturer must provide 15 ml aliquots of the material for testing prior to acceptance f) material must be provided in containers / bags suitable for freezing to -20degC.
Renewal: The 60 months includes the option to extend for a further two 12 month intervals at the sole discretion of the Health Board
