Summary of the contracting process

The Warrington Borough Council has awarded a contract for "The Provision of Cycle Training Services and a range of Cycling Promotional Activities" to BikeRight! Ltd. The contract falls under the services category, specifically personal development training services. The objective is to increase cycling skills and enthusiasm among children, teenagers, and adults in Warrington, ensuring the appropriate use of government funding for cycle training. The contract value is £650,000, and it was signed on December 20, 2023. The procurement method used was an open procedure.

This tender presents opportunities for businesses in the personal development training services industry, particularly those experienced in delivering cycle training programmes. Businesses providing cycle training at primary and secondary schools, as well as afterschool and holiday programs, would be well-suited to compete. The Warrington Borough Council's focus on enhancing cycling proficiency creates a niche market within the broader personal development training services sector. Understanding the specific requirements outlined in the contract and demonstrating expertise in delivering Bikeability Standards would be crucial for successful participation.
