1. Title Pre-market Engagement - Procurement of 40mm Grenades 2. Description of the opportunity DGM is considering options for Provision of the 40mm suite of grenades from June 2025 onwards. DGM intends to issue a competitive tender to explore a market which shall be able to provide the following suite of grenades: - 40 x 53mm HV grenades: 1. HEDP 2. Prac Impact 3. Inert - 40 x 46mm LV grenades: 1. HEDP 2. Illumination (both visual and IR) 3. Smoke Screening 4. Prac Impact 5. Inert This PIN is being issued to understand market research and the potential suppliers feedback to our proposed strategy. DGM welcomes interest from individual suppliers, or prime contractors to manage the total requirement. Contract value, is expected to be between PS134M and PS165M, depending on Contract strategy. Suppliers should note that any specified total contract values are the Authority's best estimates. The value and contract term for this potential requirement will be informed by this Market Engagement activity. 4. Estimated date for competition commencement - Q2 of 2024 5. Any other relevant information: DGM would like to understand potential providers interest and appetite to either 5 or 7 year hybrid framework approach, with the first 3 years being fixed. Years 4&5 or 4,5,6 & 7 would be based on a flexible framework approach, using a base price and index to assess the price at the start of the FY PLEASE EMAIL TOM.BAKER109@MOD.GOV.UK FOR THE DELIVERY SCHEDULE In issuing this PIN, DE&S is not committing to carry out any procurement in relation to the requirements stated in this PIN.
