This award is to cover the supply & delivery of Rebated fuel (marked and dyed in accordance with HMRC regulations) that complies with or betters the requirements set out in EN590, with a FAME (Fatty Acid Methyl Ester) of no higher than 7%, across depots & outstations for Northern Trains located in the North West. The forecasted volumes for each location are as below; Allerton Depot - 2,300,000 Barrow (Outstation) - 3,700,000 Blackburn (Outstation) - 2,300,000 Blackpool (Outstation) - 2,800,000 Newton Heath Depot - 8,800,000 Sheffield (Outstation) - 4,300,000 Wigan Springs Branch (Outstation) - 1,600,000

NTL undertook a tender activity via the crown commercial services national fuels framework RM1677 Lot 105 North West. Following completion of the tender activity Essar provided a considerably lower than market price rate. The rate is valid for 12 months only and therefore a subsequent tender activity will be required later in 2024 henceforth Prior Issue Notice ref 2024/S 000-017593.
