Cardiff Council is the host authority and is responsible for the service delivery of The Wales Interpretation and Translation Service, which provides linguistic professionals to the public sector, in over 140 languages, 24/7 365 days a year, to currently 40 organisations throughout Wales. WITS collaborates with multi-sector public organisations ranging from Welsh Government organisations, NHS Health Board, Local Authorities, Police Forces and Housing Associations with varying requirements. WITS manages Interpreter and translator support in a variety of methods: - Pre-booked Face to Face - Pre booked Video - Pre-booked Telephone - Document Translation - Braille - On demand Telephone - On demand Video

We are exploring products/software that would have the functionality to operate interpreter and/or translator support to suit business needs and demands considering, but not limited to - Digital delivery methods - CAT - Computer Assisted Translation - MT - Machine Translation - AI - Artificial Intelligence
