    "description": "The ISTARI Industry Day will be an 'in-person' event. Attendees will be required to attend all day, and lunch will be provided. The day will consist of multiple presentations from speakers including Space Command, DES Space Delivery Team, Department for Science Innovation & Technology (DSIT), DSTL, and Crown Commercial Services (CCS), as well as a chance to ask questions and an opportunity for networking. Feedback from Industry, in relation to both the operational, procurement and commercial strategies, will be welcomed both throughout the day and following the event. Attendance is also expected from Defence Space Policy Team and UK Space Agency on the day. Should your Organisation wish to attend the ISTARI Industry Day please contact the following email address to register your interest: DESSpace-DT@mod.gov.uk Industry attendance will be limited to two (2) attendees per company due to limited capacity. In the event that spare capacity becomes available, we will endeavour to advertise this on a first-come, first-served basis nearer the time. Please be aware we cannot guarantee attendees from the same Organisation will be seated together during the Industry Day and requests for such cannot be taken into consideration due to the scale of event. The event will be classified Official Sensitive and therefore is a requirement for confirmation of extant Security Clearance (BPSS as a minimum) to be provided and checked prior to attendance at the event. Your registration will only be confirmed once checks have been completed. Please note, applications to attend this ISTARI Industry Day will not be accepted after Wednesday 31st July 2024. Further information, including an agenda and discussion topics will be provided in good time following registration and confirmation of relevant security clearances.",

                            "text": "After much deliberation, DE&S and Space Command have decided to take the difficult decision of postponing the previously advertised 'ISTARI Industry Day'. The ISTARI Industry Day planned for 5 Sep 24 will be postponed allowing confirmation of our future intentions for Space-Based Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), in the context of ensuring Departmental resources remain available, whilst also giving focus to the Defence Space Portfolio within the Strategic Defence Review. We remain committed to the development of Space-Based ISR capabilities under the ISTARI programme, and to consulting with industry to identify the optimum approach that will meet Defence needs. We appreciate that this will be disappointing news for many, however we look forward to seeing you at the rearranged ISTARI Industry Day, which we aim to reconvene in the coming months. Information on the rearranged dates will be promulgated via the Defence Sourcing Portal (DSP)."
