Summary of the contracting process

This procurement process, spearheaded by the NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care Board, involves tendering for the "Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership" (MNVP). The initiative focuses on delivering a well-resourced MNVP within Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, specifically covering the perinatal units at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Peterborough City Hospital, and The Rosie Hospital. The tender, currently in the active stage, falls under the services category with an industry classification of maternity benefits (CPV: 75312000). Key dates include the closing date for submissions on 30th August 2024 at noon, and the bid validity lasting for 180 days post-submission. The procurement method adopted is an open procedure, ensuring a fair and competitive bidding process.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in healthcare service delivery, particularly those with experience in maternity and neonatal care. The contract will initially span 24 months, with an option for a 12-month extension, providing consistent and extended business engagement. With the evolving role of MNVPs driven by national maternity reports and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), businesses capable of adapting to and expanding existing workplans will find this tender especially appealing. Prospective bidders should ensure they are prepared for potential contract modifications to encompass additional or complementary services, thus fostering potential growth and a strengthened presence in the regional healthcare sector.

Lot Information

Lot 1

We are seeking a provider to deliver an adequately resource, well-functioning Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) to operate within Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Local Maternity and Neonatal System (C & P LMNS) consists of Perinatal units at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Peterborough City Hospital and The Rosie Hospital served by North West Anglia Foundation Trust and Cambridge University Hospital Foundation Trust.

Within Cambridgeshire & Peterborough (C&P) we have a long history of coproduction with our MNVPs both at a local and system level, however, the role of an MNVP has evolved and developed significantly with the emergence of ICBs and the national maternity reports. The current service has workplans in placed already aligned with these reports. The new service provider will be required to adopt these plans and use them as a basis for future plans to ensure continuity of service. Further information is included within the Service Specification.

Renewal: The contract term will be for an initial 24 months, with the option to extend by a further 12 months.
